What to expect from our sussex power washing service
Sam & Son Jet A Drive is a family-run jet washing and exterior cleaning company working throughout Sussex and the South East, based in mid Sussex between Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath, and travelling across both East and West Sussex and into neighbouring counties for larger domestic and commercial work.
The aim has always been simple: the best possible result at the best possible price. That doesn't mean being the cheapest quote through the door — it means matching the right method to the right surface, doing the preparation and aftercare that make a clean last, and being straight with people about what's achievable before any money changes hands.
Every job starts with a free quotation given in person. Quoting blind serves nobody in this trade, because the gap between a lightly soiled patio and one riddled with black spot lichen is the gap between an afternoon and a two-visit chemical treatment.
One firm, the whole outside of the building
We deliberately cover the whole exterior rather than specialising in one surface, because that's how the work actually presents itself. Somebody needing a driveway cleaned usually has a patio going the same way, gutters that haven't been touched in three years and soffits that have gone grey.
- Driveway jet washing on block paving, concrete, imprinted concrete, tarmac and gravel
- Patio, terrace, step, path and courtyard cleaning
- Decking cleaning and oiling — softwood, hardwood and composite
- Roof cleaning, moss removal and biocidal treatment
- Gutter clearing, leak repair, section and full replacement
- Soffit, fascia, bargeboard and cladding cleaning and uPVC refits
- Pure water window cleaning, domestic and commercial
- Swimming pool shells, waterlines and surrounds
- Commercial car parks, forecourts, yards and communal areas

The ground we cover
Our core area is mid Sussex — Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, Hassocks, Ditchling, Cuckfield, Lindfield, Hurstpierpoint, Wivelsfield and the surrounding villages — and that's where most of our domestic work happens, mostly through recommendation.
Beyond that we regularly work across Brighton and Hove, Lewes, Uckfield, East Grinstead, Crawley, Horsham, Worthing, Steyning, Henfield and down towards the coast. For larger commercial contracts, holiday properties and estates we'll happily travel further into the South East, and we'll say honestly if a job is too small to make travel worthwhile rather than adding a silent premium.
Sussex packs a genuinely wide range of conditions into a small area. Chalk downland, weald clay and coastal exposure each affect how quickly surfaces soil and how they should be treated: clay holds water and encourages moss, coastal properties collect salt film and sand, and the wooded weald delivers relentless leaf litter and shade. We adjust the approach and the treatment to match rather than applying one method everywhere.
Contracts, landlords and managed sites
Alongside domestic customers we work for letting and managing agents, holiday let owners, care homes, schools, pubs and restaurants, retail units and small industrial estates across Sussex. Communal paving, bin stores, fire escapes, car parks and shop frontages are all regular work, along with scheduled window cleaning rounds and annual gutter clearance contracts.
For commercial clients we work whatever hours suit the site, including early mornings and weekends, and provide clear invoicing and a fixed schedule where a recurring programme makes more sense than one-off calls. Public liability insurance details are supplied as standard, and we're used to sites where access, pedestrian safety and signage need thinking about in advance.
Holiday lets and second homes are a particular niche we know well: the work has to fit into the changeover window, nobody's on site to let us in, and the property needs to look immaculate for the next arrival's photographs. We're comfortable working unsupervised with keys or codes arranged beforehand.
What keeps people coming back
The reviews we're proudest of say roughly the same things: quick to respond, came out and measured up the same day, fairly priced, friendly, turned up when they said they would, and the result looked fantastic. One customer called us after being let down repeatedly by the company that had fitted their guttering in the first place — we found the actual fault, explained it, and fixed it. That's the sort of job that earns the next ten.
In practical terms that means surveying properly, quoting clearly with nothing added at the end, protecting what's around the work, clearing up thoroughly, and telling you the truth about what a surface can and can't be brought back to. Nobody gets upsold something they don't need.
If you're anywhere in Sussex or the South East and something outside your building needs cleaning, repairing or replacing, call us or send the enquiry form and we'll come and take a look free of charge.
