We recently travelled to a lovely property in the heart of Sussex to help a homeowner whose outdoor spaces had lost their former glory. The project involved a complete overhaul of both the main driveway and the rear patio area, both of which had suffered from a significant buildup of organic growth over the winter months. The surfaces were heavily weathered, covered in a thick layer of green algae and stubborn black spot lichen that made the ground incredibly slippery when wet. Treating the stubborn lichen on the patio

The patio required a little more attention than the driveway. We applied a specially formulated, biodegradable chemical treatment to break down the deep-seated lichen spores that standard water pressure alone cannot shift. This was left to work into the surface before we moved on to the rinsing stage. Throughout the afternoon, we worked systematically to rinse away the loosened debris, ensuring that all drainage channels were kept clear and that the surrounding flower beds remained protected throughout.

The natural colours of the stone were visible once again, and the entire property looked refreshed and well-maintained.
