Conservatory cleaning for regular customer

A regular conservatory cleaning in Sussex

We recently returned to a familiar property in Sussex to carry out a comprehensive conservatory cleaning for one of our long-standing regular customers. Over the years, we have looked after various parts of their home exterior, but the conservatory roof had begun to show the inevitable signs of weathering that come with our local climate. Being positioned under several overhanging trees, the glass and structural framework had accumulated a thick layer of organic growth, including green algae and stubborn lichen, which was significantly reducing the amount of natural light entering the interior living space.

Working carefully with the glazing

For a job of this nature, we always begin by assessing the integrity of the seals and the specific type of glazing involved. Because conservatory roofs are delicate, we never use high-pressure water which could damage the gaskets or force leaks into the home. Instead, we utilised our professional reach-and-wash system combined with a specially formulated, eco-friendly cleaning solution designed to break down organic matter without harming the surrounding garden or the UPVC frames. We took great care to pre-soak the most affected areas, allowing the treatment to lift the grime naturally before gently agitating the surface with soft-bristled brushes.

Cleaning beyond the glass

Once the debris was loosened, we performed a thorough rinse using purified water to ensure a completely streak-free finish. We didn't just focus on the glass; we meticulously cleaned the structural bars, the decorative finials, and the internal gutter tracking which is often overlooked but essential for proper drainage. The transformation was immediate, restoring the conservatory to its original bright and airy condition and ensuring the frames looked as good as the day they were installed.

Keeping the results lasting

To keep the conservatory looking its best, we advised our customer that a professional clean once or twice a year prevents the buildup of silt that can lead to permanent etching on the glass. Keeping the nearby gutters clear is also vital to prevent dirty overflow from staining the freshly cleaned panels. If you live in Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath, or the wider Sussex area and your conservatory needs a professional refresh, please get in touch with us for a friendly quote.
